What is your style of photography?
I am a natural light photographer so the only time you'll see me using flash is for the dance floor. My style is a little moody, dark and grainy. I love the mystery in the shadows so if you are looking for light and airy then this isn't me! I capture weddings naturally with little in the way of direction or posing. The only time I do this will be during your portraits for something a little cool and edgy but even then I will be encouraging real moments within the direction I give you.
There aren't any group shots or formal family photos on your site, do you do these?
I do but I don't put these on my website or blog. I am a story teller and would rather spend time capturing you and your nearest candidly. While I do group shots and formals I do strongly advise they are kept to a minimum of immediate family and bridal party to avoid too much waiting around.
What if its raining for our couples session or wedding day?
Embrace it, run with it and own it! Rain can make images beautifully moody and atmospheric, wind can add movement and a real sense of emotion to a photo. I won't cancel and I hope you won't either!
Can I send you a list of shots I want?
Because every wedding and couple are unique, my style is to shoot your day naturally, as events unfold. I prefer to have full creative freedom over what gets shot and how. If there are things that are particularly important to you I will take note and make extra effort to capture them and I will ask you this before your wedding day in an online questionnaire that you will receive from me in the run up to the day.
We are super awkward having our photos taken, is that ok?
Trust me when I say that most of the images on my site are of couples who all felt the same as you! It's my job to make you feel like you can just be you because that is all you need to be and you've been you for a pretty long time so you are a pro you just don't know it yet!
How do we get our images after the wedding?
You will receive your images in an online gallery that will be sent to you via email where you can view/share and download your images. You can also make some images private or order some to print.
How long after the wedding do we get our images?
Each image is edited by hand and editing is scheduled in-between other weddings so it can be between 6-8 weeks. I know how excited you will be to see your images though but I also know that the wait makes it all the more special when you do get them!
We want to book you, what happens next?
Just get in touch and I will get back to you asap! Once we have spoken we will usually chat about meeting up for a couples shoot which is currently part of my package or if distance prevents us then we will Skype or video call so we can 'meet' and talk about your plans and ideas. After this I will send a contract to you and if you are happy with everything and want to book then a retainer of £250 will secure your date and boom you got one more thing ticked off your to-do list. Your deposit will get knocked off the final balance of course, which is due one month before the date of your wedding.
Do you keep our images after we receive them incase we lose them?
I am not liable to keep your images and although I may have them I also may not so I always recommend you back up your images. You will receive a USB & online gallery from me anyway but you should ideally duplicate your images to multiple sources, even keeping one source at a different address incase the worst ever happened. Back up, back up, back up!
